✨ wine.spec_sheet

Founded in 1858 by Guillermo Hurtado de Amézaga, Marqués de Riscal is a pioneering estate that famously introduced Bordeaux winemaking techniques to the Rioja region. Their Crianza represents a harmonious bridge between Rioja's storied traditions and modern fruit-forward appeal. Sourced primarily from the clay-limestone soils of Rioja Alavesa, this wine is crafted predominantly from Tempranillo, occasionally blended with small portions of Graciano or Mazuelo. In accordance with Rioja's strict aging classifications, the wine undergoes aging in American oak casks for at least one year, followed by additional refinement in the bottle. This process tempers the vibrant red berry and dark cherry fruit with signature notes of vanilla, toasted coconut, and subtle sweet spices, reflecting the historic estate's signature style in an approachable, vibrant format.
