The Bondi Home Ranch Water Trough Pinot Noir is born from a historic property in the cool, fog-laden Green Valley of the Russian River Valley. Originally a dairy farm and apple orchard purchased by the Bondi family in the early 20th century, the vineyard was planted to Pinot Noir in 1997. The 'Water Trough' designation pays homage to the old redwood water trough that once quenched the thirst of the ranch's dairy cows. Benefiting from the Goldridge sandy loam soils and intense maritime influence, this wine is crafted using traditional Martinelli methods, including fermentation with wild yeasts and aging in French oak. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered, capturing the vineyard's signature profile of rich dark cherry, pomegranate, warm baking spices, and a distinct earthy undertone.

Founded in the late 1880s by Italian immigrants Giuseppe Martinelli and Luisa Vellutini, Martinelli Winery is a celebrated multi-generational estate nestled in California's Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast. For over a century, the family has farmed historically significant, steep hillside sites, most famously the iconic Jackass Hill and Jackass Vineyard planted in 1887. Guided by an uncompromising dedication to estate viticulture and low-intervention winemaking, the winery captures the distinct microclimates and soils of Sonoma County.
