The Zio Tony Ranch Pinot Noir is a heartfelt tribute to 'Uncle' Tony Bondi, a beloved family member who dedicated his life to farming the fertile soils of Sonoma County. Located in the cool, fog-influenced Russian River Valley, this estate vineyard is defined by its classic Goldridge sandy loam soils, which yield Pinot Noir of exceptional depth and complexity. Martinelli utilizes meticulous hand-farming and traditional, minimalist winemaking techniques, including fermentation with wild yeasts and bottling the wine unfined and unfiltered. The resulting Pinot Noir is remarkably rich and expressive, showcasing the intense dark fruit, forest floor, and warm baking spice characteristics that define this legendary cool-climate site.

Martinelli Winery blev grundlagt i slutningen af 1880'erne af de italienske immigranter Giuseppe Martinelli og Luisa Vellutini og er i dag en berømmet familieejad vingård med dybe rødder i Californiens Russian River Valley og Sonoma Coast. Gennem mere end et århundrede har familien dyrket historiske, stejle skråninger – herunder de legendariske parceller Jackass Hill og Jackass Vineyard, som blev beplantet helt tilbage i 1887.
