Masi's Campolongo di Torbe is a legendary single-vineyard Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, hailing from a historic site in the Veneto region documented for its exceptional winegrowing qualities since the 12th century. This cru vineyard, located in the commune of San Pietro in Cariano, features deep, humus-rich clay soils over volcanic tuff, which imparts a distinct mineral complexity to the wine. Crafted using the traditional Appassimento method, the indigenous grapes—principally Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara—are dried on bamboo racks in specialized drying lofts over the winter months. This natural dehydration concentrates the sugars, aromas, and tannins. Following a slow fermentation, the wine undergoes extensive aging in Slavonian and Allier oak casks, resulting in a majestic, full-bodied red.
