Masi's Frescaripa is a classic expression of Bardolino Classico, hailing from the sun-drenched morainic hills on the eastern shores of Lake Garda in Veneto. The name itself, 'Frescaripa,' evokes the cooling, fresh breezes ('fresca') that sweep off the lake onto the vineyard slopes ('ripa'), a natural air conditioning system that preserves the vibrant acidity and bright fruit profiles of the grapes. Crafted from the traditional Veronese blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara, this wine represents the historic, lighter-bodied side of Veneto's winemaking heritage. Unlike its heavy, dried-grape cousins in Valpolicella, Frescaripa is celebrated for its youthful energy, marked by notes of wild cherry, red currant, and a delicate touch of black pepper. Masi, a pioneer in preserving Venetian viticultural traditions, vinifies this wine to emphasize freshness, utilizing temperature-controlled fermentation and brief aging to ensure the lively, thirst-quenching character of the Lake Garda terroir shines through in every glass.

Masi Agricola blev grundlagt i 1772, da Boscaini-familien opkøbte førsteklasses vinmarker i den lille dal 'Vaio dei Masi', og vinhuset har siden udviklet sig til en af de mest ikoniske og respekterede producenter i Valpolicella Classica-zonen i Veneto.
