Hailing from the breathtaking alpine landscapes of Trentino in Northern Italy, Mezzacorona's 'Firmian' Cabernet Sauvignon pays homage to the historic Castel Firmian, a medieval fortress overlooking the Adige Valley that once belonged to the noble Firmian family. Established in 1904, the Mezzacorona cooperative has mastered the art of mountain viticulture. This wine is crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on the gravelly, well-drained alluvial soils of the valley floor and lower slopes, where warm daytime breezes from Lake Garda meet cool alpine night air. The grapes undergo traditional temperature-controlled fermentation on the skins, followed by a period of aging in oak barrels. The result is a classic Trentino red that beautifully balances mountain freshness with the structured, herbaceous, and dark-fruit character typical of the varietal.

Mezzacorona blev grundlagt i 1904 og er et historisk vinkooperativ beliggende i Mezzocorona ved foden af de italienske alper i regionen Trentino-Alto Adige. Kooperativet forener generationer af passionerede vindyrkerfamilier på tværs af Piana Rotaliana og Dolomitternes omkringliggende dale, og huset er dybt engageret i integreret, bæredygtig vindyrkning, der værner om det alpine terroir. Vingården forener moderne tyngdekraftsdrevet vinifikation med traditionelle modningskældre og håndhæver en streng kvalitetskontrol hele vejen fra vinstok til flaske.
