Hailing from the dramatic alpine landscapes of Trentino in northern Italy, Mezzacorona's 'Firmian' Chardonnay pays homage to the historic Castel Firmian, a noble fortress overlooking the Adige Valley. Established in 1904, the Mezzacorona cooperative has long championed the unique terroir of the Dolomites. This Chardonnay is cultivated in hillside vineyards where warm daytime sun and cool alpine night breezes create a significant diurnal temperature shift, preserving vibrant acidity and developing intense aromatic profiles. Vinified primarily in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, this wine represents a fresh, elegant, and mineral-driven style of Italian Chardonnay, showcasing bright notes of yellow apple, white peach, and subtle floral undertones without heavy oak influence.

Mezzacorona blev grundlagt i 1904 og er et historisk vinkooperativ beliggende i Mezzocorona ved foden af de italienske alper i regionen Trentino-Alto Adige. Kooperativet forener generationer af passionerede vindyrkerfamilier på tværs af Piana Rotaliana og Dolomitternes omkringliggende dale, og huset er dybt engageret i integreret, bæredygtig vindyrkning, der værner om det alpine terroir. Vingården forener moderne tyngdekraftsdrevet vinifikation med traditionelle modningskældre og håndhæver en streng kvalitetskontrol hele vejen fra vinstok til flaske.
