Hailing from the breathtaking foothills of the Italian Dolomites, Mezzacorona's 'Firmian' Pinot Noir is a tribute to the historic Castel Firmian, a medieval fortress that has watched over the Adige Valley since the 15th century. This wine captures the alpine soul of Trentino, where Pinot Nero vines thrive in gravelly, mineral-rich soils swept by cool mountain breezes and warmed by the gentle winds of Lake Garda. Crafted by the historic Mezzacorona cooperative—pioneers of Trentino viticulture since 1904—this 100% Pinot Noir undergoes careful temperature-controlled fermentation with brief skin contact to preserve its delicate aromatics, followed by a short period of refinement in oak casks. The result is a graceful red boasting bright notes of wild red berries, mountain herbs, and a whisper of forest floor, reflecting the pristine, high-altitude terroir of its origin.

Mezzacorona blev grundlagt i 1904 og er et historisk vinkooperativ beliggende i Mezzocorona ved foden af de italienske alper i regionen Trentino-Alto Adige. Kooperativet forener generationer af passionerede vindyrkerfamilier på tværs af Piana Rotaliana og Dolomitternes omkringliggende dale, og huset er dybt engageret i integreret, bæredygtig vindyrkning, der værner om det alpine terroir. Vingården forener moderne tyngdekraftsdrevet vinifikation med traditionelle modningskældre og håndhæver en streng kvalitetskontrol hele vejen fra vinstok til flaske.
