Miguel Torres Chile's 'La Causa' project is a dedicated tribute to the viticultural history of Chile, focusing on the preservation and elevation of ancestral grape varieties. Sourced from dry-farmed, bush-trained old vines, this wine celebrates the País grape (also known as Mission), which was first brought to the Americas by Spanish missionaries in the 16th century. For centuries, País was relegated to simple table wines, but through 'La Causa', Torres champions the grape's rustic elegance and historical significance. The wine is crafted using traditional winemaking techniques to highlight its bright red fruit profile, wild herb notes, and distinctive earthy undertones, offering a genuine taste of Chile's liquid heritage.
