Miguel Torres Chile was a pioneer in modernizing Chilean viticulture when they established their presence in 1979. The 'Cordillera' range is crafted to showcase the exceptional, site-specific terroirs of Chile's diverse valleys. For this Cabernet Sauvignon, Torres sources fruit from the stony, well-drained alluvial terraces of the Maipo Valley, a region globally celebrated for its world-class Cabernet. The vineyards benefit from the dramatic diurnal temperature shifts created by cooling breezes descending from the Andes Mountains. This unique microclimate allows the grapes to ripen slowly, preserving natural acidity and developing signature notes of blackcurrant, mint, and eucalyptus. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (with a portion of new oak) for approximately 12 months, imparting refined structure, spice, and elegant, well-integrated tannins.
