Miguel Torres Chile’s Cordillera Carignan is a tribute to the resilient, dry-farmed old vines of the Maule Valley. Originally planted in the mid-20th century to improve the color and acidity of local blends, these ancient vineyards were largely forgotten until a modern renaissance championed by pioneering producers like Torres. As a cornerstone of the VIGNO (Vignadores de Carignan) movement, this wine is sourced from head-trained, unirrigated bush vines rooted in deep, granitic soils. The grapes are hand-harvested and aged in French oak barrels to soften Carignan's naturally rustic tannins. The resulting wine is a vibrant, deeply concentrated expression of Maule's unique terroir, balancing intense dark fruit, wild herb notes, and a signature electric acidity.
