Hailing from the high-altitude Finca Fransola in the Alt Penedès subregion of Catalunya, this elegant white wine represents Familia Torres's mastery of cool-climate viticulture. Situated at approximately 550 meters above sea level, the vineyard experiences cool nights that allow the Sauvignon Blanc grapes—the backbone of this cuvée—to retain their vibrant acidity and intense aromatic profile. To add complexity and local character, the blend is often complemented by Forcada, an ancestral Catalan grape variety rescued from extinction by the Torres family. Fransola is partially fermented and aged in new French and American oak barrels for around eight months, with regular lees stirring (bâtonnage). This meticulous process beautifully marries the grape's natural notes of passion fruit, green fig, and fresh herbs with rich, creamy textures and subtle hints of vanilla and toast.
