Hailing from the pioneering Chilean estates of Familia Torres, who revolutionized the country's modern wine industry upon their arrival in 1979, this Gran Reserva Chardonnay showcases the superb adaptation of the variety to the diverse terroirs of the Central Valley. The wine is deeply connected to the heritage of the region, often associated with the 'Santa Digna' stone crosses that historically marked the boundaries of Chilean estates as symbols of protection and safe passage. Sourced from select vineyards where warm, sunny days are tempered by cool evening breezes rolling down from the Andes, the grapes develop intense varietal character. To craft this expressive white, a portion of the wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels, seamlessly weaving a delicate creaminess and subtle notes of toasted brioche into its vibrant core of tropical fruit, yellow peach, and crisp citrus.

Founded in 1870 by Jaime and Miguel Torres Vendrell in Vilafranca del Penedès, Catalonia, Familia Torres is one of Spain's most historic and influential wine dynasties. Under the pioneering leadership of fourth-generation patriarch Miguel A. Torres, the family revolutionized Spanish winemaking by introducing stainless steel fermentation and international varieties, while also expanding globally to Chile in 1979 with Miguel Torres Chile. Today, the estate is celebrated for its commitment to regenerative viticulture, climate change mitigation, and the recovery of ancestral grape varieties. Their diverse portfolio spans iconic Catalan labels like Gran Coronas to acclaimed Chilean expressions like Manso Velasco and the Santa Digna range, showcasing a masterful blend of traditional heritage and modern innovation.
