✨ Technical Specifications
Hailing from the heart of Penedes in Catalunya, Mas La Plana is a legendary single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon that forever changed the global perception of Spanish wine. First planted in 1966 by Miguel A. Torres, this pioneering wine made history when its inaugural 1970 vintage triumphed over some of Bordeaux's most prestigious first growths at the 1979 Gault-Millau Wine Olympiad in Paris. Grown on a small, 29-hectare estate characterized by deep, well-drained clay-limestone soils, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in French oak barrels. It represents a masterclass in combining Mediterranean warmth with classic structure, offering complex aromas of blackcurrant, truffle, and forest floor, framed by elegant tannins and a long, balsamic finish.
