✨ Technical Specifications
Miguel Torres was a true pioneer in Chile, establishing operations in 1979 and introducing modern stainless steel tanks and temperature-controlled fermentation to a historic but then-traditional wine industry. The Santa Digna range pays homage to the stone crosses that historically marked the boundaries of estates and served as symbols of protection for travelers in the Chilean countryside. This Carmenere is sourced from the Central Valley, where the grape—originally from Bordeaux and famously rediscovered in Chile in 1994—thrives in the warm, sunny climate tempered by cool Andean breezes. Vinified with a focus on varietal purity, it typically undergoes fermentation in stainless steel followed by a short aging period in French oak barrels to soften its structure while preserving its signature notes of ripe blackberries, eucalyptus, and roasted bell pepper.
