Viña Morandé’s Brut K.O. is a vibrant testament to Chile's viticultural heritage, celebrating the revival of the historic País grape. Originally introduced by Spanish missionaries in the 16th century, País was long overlooked for premium wines until pioneering producers began unlocking its potential for sparkling wine. Sourced from ancient, dry-farmed bush vines in the Secano Interior of the Maule Valley, this cuvée pays homage to the resilience of these centenarian vineyards. The name 'K.O.' playfully nods to its punchy, knockout freshness and unconventional character. Crafted to preserve the grape's rustic charm and bright fruit profile, this sparkling wine delivers a lively palate of wild red berries, citrus zest, and a crisp, refreshing finish.

Viña Morandé blev grundlagt i 1996 af den visionære vinmager Pablo Morandé, som er almindeligt anerkendt for sin pionerindsats inden for vindyrkning i det kølige klima i Casablanca Valley. I dag rangerer vinhuset blandt Chiles mest innovative og respekterede producenter. Med vinmarker i førsteklasses terroirs på tværs af Casablanca, Maipo, Cachapoal og Maule forener huset klassisk håndværk med en utrættelig innovationslyst. I kælderen eksperimenteres der flittigt med utraditionelle modningsbeholdere såsom betonæg, keramiske amforaer og store franske egetræs-foudres. Morandé fremstiller en alsidig portefølje af rød-, hvid-, rosé- og mousserende vine, hvor især den toneangivende Gran Reserva-serie, den terroir-drevne Terrarum-linje og flagskibet House of Morandé – et klassisk blend i Bordeaux-stil – udmærker sig.
