✨ Technical Specifications
Crafted by Viña Morandé, a pioneer in Chilean cool-climate viticulture, this Pinot Noir Rosé is a vibrant expression of the coastal-influenced terroirs within the greater Aconcagua region. Founder Pablo Morandé famously defied conventional wisdom in the 1980s by planting vines in valleys open to the cold Humboldt Current of the Pacific Ocean. This rosé benefits immensely from that legacy; the morning fogs and cooling breezes slow the ripening of the delicate Pinot Noir grapes, preserving their bright natural acidity and high-toned red fruit aromatics. The wine is typically produced with minimal skin contact to achieve a pale, elegant salmon-pink hue, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks to safeguard its crisp, fruit-forward, and mineral-driven character.
🍾 About the Producer
Viña Morandé was founded in 1996 by visionary winemaker Pablo Morandé, widely celebrated as the viticultural pioneer who introduced commercial vine plantings to the cool, maritime-influenced Casablanca Valley. Now operating under the Morandé Wine Group umbrella with historical headquarters and cellars centered in Pelequén, the estate farms extensively across prime Chilean macro-terroirs ranging from coastal Casablanca and Limarí to the granitic dry-farmed Secano Interior of Maule and Itata. Under the cellar direction of Ricardo Baettig alongside Pablo Morandé, the winery is renowned for innovative technical methods, including early adoption of high-density plantings, concrete eggs, and traditional untoasted foudres. Across whites and sparkling expressions, the house crafts crisp coastal whites and classical cuvées alongside boundary-pushing benchmark bottlings such as Edición Limitada Black Chardonnay, Bestiario, and the noble rot dessert wine Edición Limitada Golden Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, marrying varietal freshness with textural complexity.
