Viña Morandé’s Sauvignon Blanc is deeply rooted in the revolutionary vision of founder Pablo Morandé, who in the 1980s famously pioneered cool-climate viticulture in the Casablanca Valley, a key zone within the greater Aconcagua region. Influenced by the cold Humboldt Current of the Pacific Ocean, the vineyards experience morning fogs and cooling breezes that slow grape ripening. This unique microclimate allows the Sauvignon Blanc grapes to develop intense aromatic profiles of citrus, green apple, and fresh herbs while retaining a vibrant, crisp acidity. The winemaking typically emphasizes minimal intervention, utilizing stainless steel tanks to preserve the pristine fruit character and mineral tension that have come to define world-class Chilean Sauvignon Blanc.

Viña Morandé blev grundlagt i 1996 af den visionære vinmager Pablo Morandé, som er almindeligt anerkendt for sin pionerindsats inden for vindyrkning i det kølige klima i Casablanca Valley. I dag rangerer vinhuset blandt Chiles mest innovative og respekterede producenter. Med vinmarker i førsteklasses terroirs på tværs af Casablanca, Maipo, Cachapoal og Maule forener huset klassisk håndværk med en utrættelig innovationslyst. I kælderen eksperimenteres der flittigt med utraditionelle modningsbeholdere såsom betonæg, keramiske amforaer og store franske egetræs-foudres.
