Niepoort's Fabelhaft Reserva Tinto is a celebrated expression of the Douro Valley, famously adorned with illustrations by the German humorist Wilhelm Busch, depicting the cautionary tale of the raven Huckebein. This playful presentation belies a serious, beautifully crafted wine. Sourced from the steep, schistous slopes of the Cima Corgo subregion, this Reserva is a traditional blend of indigenous Portuguese grapes, including Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Amarela. Dirk Niepoort's philosophy of balance and freshness shines through here; the wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel before aging in French oak barriques.
