✨ wine.spec_sheet

Hailing from the legendary Vinha da Pisca, a historic vineyard in the heart of the Pinhão Valley, Niepoort's Pisca Vintage Port represents the pinnacle of traditional Douro viticulture. This low-yielding vineyard, home to ancient field-blend vines, has long provided the structural backbone and soul for Niepoort's finest Vintage Ports. When bottled as a single-vineyard Vintage Port, Pisca showcases an extraordinary purity of fruit, remarkable depth, and a fine-grained tannic structure. The grapes are traditionally foot-trodden in granite lagares at the Vale de Mendiz winery to ensure gentle extraction, then aged in historic wooden vats in the cool cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. It is a wine defined by its elegance, mineral tension, and profound longevity, embodying the soul of the Douro's schist soils.
