✨ wine.spec_sheet

First released in 1994, Redoma Branco was a pioneering force in redefining the Douro Valley as a premier region for world-class dry still wines, challenging its centuries-old reputation dedicated solely to Port. The name 'Redoma'—meaning a glass dome or protective bell jar—reflects the precious nature of the old-vine parcels from which it is born. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards situated between 400 and 800 meters above sea level, where ancient vines cling to steep mica-schist slopes, this wine is a field blend of indigenous Portuguese varieties including Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Viosinho, and Arinto. To preserve its profound mineral tension and sense of place, the wine is fermented and aged in French oak casks, undergoing a slow maturation that integrates subtle wood notes with a vibrant, flinty acidity and a deeply textured, saline finish.
