Named in honor of the winery's founder, Don Nicanor Nieto, this Cabernet Sauvignon is a testament to the historic legacy of Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza. Crafted from select high-altitude vineyards, the wine reflects the unique combination of intense Andean sunlight and cool night breezes. This dramatic diurnal temperature variation allows the Cabernet grapes to develop thick skins, resulting in a deeply colored, structured red wine. The winemaking process respects traditional methods, utilizing careful oak aging to seamlessly integrate firm, ripe tannins with rich dark fruit flavors and a signature touch of black pepper and subtle eucalyptus. It stands as a classic representation of Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon, balancing Old World structure with New World fruit intensity.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1888 by Italian immigrants in the premier wine-growing region of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Nieto Senetiner is one of Argentina's most historic and prestigious wineries. The estate was acquired by the Nieto and Senetiner families in 1969, who expanded its facilities while preserving its architectural heritage, and it is now part of the Perez Companc Group. Renowned for its deep respect for terroir, the winery crafts exceptional wines from historic vineyards, including the centenarian vines of Finca Villa Blanca planted in 1906. Under the guidance of winemaker Santiago Mayorga, Nieto Senetiner produces elegant, structured wines, most notably their acclaimed Don Nicanor Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and innovative blends that showcase the classic character of Mendoza.
