Named in honor of Don Nicanor Nieto, one of the winery's founding figures, the Don Nicanor Chardonnay represents a sophisticated exploration of Mendoza's high-altitude terroirs. Sourced primarily from selected vineyards in the cool-climate Uco Valley, this wine benefits from intense solar radiation and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts. These alpine conditions allow the Chardonnay grapes to develop rich, concentrated tropical and stone fruit flavors while retaining a vibrant, natural acidity. To craft this elegant white, winemakers employ a careful combination of stainless steel fermentation to preserve fresh fruit purity and partial barrel fermentation in French oak, followed by lees stirring (bâtonnage). This meticulous process imparts a creamy texture, subtle notes of toasted brioche, and a refined vanilla complexity, bridging the gap between Old World structure and New World fruit intensity.

Nieto Senetiner blev grundlagt i 1888 af italienske immigranter i den velansete Vistalba-underregion i Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, og regnes i dag for et af Argentinas mest historiske og toneangivende vinhuse. Da familierne Nieto og Senetiner overtog og revitaliserede ejendommen i 1969, forenede de mere end et århundredes vindyrkningstradition med moderne vinificeringsmetoder. Vinmarkerne er beliggende højt oppe ved Andesbjergenes udløbere, hvor det tørre klima skaber optimale betingelser for koncentrerede, harmoniske druer med en imponerende dybde.
