Nieto Senetiner's Don Nicanor Gewurztraminer (often designated as GW) represents a pioneering departure from Mendoza's traditional red-dominated landscape. Named in honor of founder Don Nicanor Nieto, this wine showcases the winery's innovative spirit by cultivating the aromatic Alsatian grape in the high-altitude, cool-climate terroir of Vista Flores within the Uco Valley. The intense alpine sunlight and dramatic diurnal temperature swings of this sub-region allow the grapes to develop their signature exotic perfume while retaining a vibrant, crisp acidity. Crafted with partial barrel fermentation and lees contact, this wine beautifully marries the classic, highly expressive floral and spice notes of the variety with a rich, textured complexity and elegant structure.

Founded in 1888 by Italian immigrants in the premier wine-growing region of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Nieto Senetiner is one of Argentina's most historic and prestigious wineries. The estate was acquired by the Nieto and Senetiner families in 1969, who expanded its facilities while preserving its architectural heritage, and it is now part of the Perez Companc Group. Renowned for its deep respect for terroir, the winery crafts exceptional wines from historic vineyards, including the centenarian vines of Finca Villa Blanca planted in 1906. Under the guidance of winemaker Santiago Mayorga, Nieto Senetiner produces elegant, structured wines, most notably their acclaimed Don Nicanor Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and innovative blends that showcase the classic character of Mendoza.
