Nieto Senetiner's Semillon is a tribute to the rich, often overlooked history of this classic Bordeaux variety in Mendoza. During the early and mid-20th century, Semillon was one of Argentina's most widely planted white grapes, cherished for its adaptability and remarkable aging potential. Sourced from select old-vine parcels in Mendoza, this wine revives that traditional heritage. Crafted to preserve the grape's natural character, it typically undergoes fermentation in stainless steel with a portion aged in oak to enhance its texture. The result is a beautifully structured white wine that balances vibrant citrus and green apple aromas with the classic waxy, honeyed complexity and elegant minerality characteristic of historic Mendoza Semillon.

Founded in 1888 by Italian immigrants in the premier wine-growing region of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Nieto Senetiner is one of Argentina's most historic and prestigious wineries. The estate was acquired by the Nieto and Senetiner families in 1969, who expanded its facilities while preserving its architectural heritage, and it is now part of the Perez Companc Group. Renowned for its deep respect for terroir, the winery crafts exceptional wines from historic vineyards, including the centenarian vines of Finca Villa Blanca planted in 1906. Under the guidance of winemaker Santiago Mayorga, Nieto Senetiner produces elegant, structured wines, most notably their acclaimed Don Nicanor Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and innovative blends that showcase the classic character of Mendoza.
