Finca Perdriel is the historic heart of Bodega Norton, situated on the southern banks of the Mendoza River in Luján de Cuyo at an altitude of 950 meters. The 'Centenario' cuvée is a prestigious red blend crafted to honor over a century of winemaking excellence since the estate's founding in 1895. Sourced from old vines planted in stony, alluvial soils, this wine represents a classic Argentine marriage of power and elegance. It typically blends Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, which undergo extensive aging in French oak barrels. The result is a deeply concentrated, complex wine with layers of dark fruit, spice, and structured tannins, reflecting the rich heritage and unique high-altitude terroir of the Primera Zona.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1895 by English engineer Edmund James Palmer Norton, Bodega Norton is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Argentina's Luján de Cuyo region in Mendoza. In 1989, the historic estate was acquired by Austrian businessman Gernot Langes-Swarovski, who modernized the facilities while preserving its rich heritage. Today, the winery is celebrated for its high-altitude viticulture and commitment to expressing the unique terroir of the Primera Zona. Norton is particularly renowned for its structured, age-worthy Malbecs, such as the iconic Gernot Langes blend and the Reserva Malbec, alongside vibrant white wines like Torrontés and Chardonnay.
