Bodega Norton's Cosecha Tardía (Late Harvest) Chardonnay is a delightful expression of Mendoza's sun-drenched terroir. By leaving the Chardonnay grapes on the vines in the high-altitude vineyards of Luján de Cuyo well past the standard harvest date, the berries undergo a natural concentration of sugars, acids, and intense tropical fruit flavors. The winemaking team carefully monitors this over-ripening process, harvesting the grapes at the perfect moment of balance. During fermentation, the process is chilled and halted to retain the grape's natural residual sweetness, resulting in a luscious yet remarkably fresh dessert wine. This style highlights Norton's long-standing history of innovation in Argentina, capturing the vibrant, playful side of Mendoza's signature white grapes.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1895 by English engineer Edmund James Palmer Norton, Bodega Norton is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Argentina's Luján de Cuyo region in Mendoza. In 1989, the historic estate was acquired by Austrian businessman Gernot Langes-Swarovski, who modernized the facilities while preserving its rich heritage. Today, the winery is celebrated for its high-altitude viticulture and commitment to expressing the unique terroir of the Primera Zona. Norton is particularly renowned for its structured, age-worthy Malbecs, such as the iconic Gernot Langes blend and the Reserva Malbec, alongside vibrant white wines like Torrontés and Chardonnay.
