Ornellaia, established in 1981 by Marchese Lodovico Antinori in the pristine coastal amphitheater of Bolgheri, stands as an iconic pillar of the Super Tuscan movement. The '25 Anniversario' represents a historic milestone, specifically celebrating the 25th vintage of this legendary estate with the monumental 2010 release. Crafted from a classic Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, the wine reflects the unique maritime terroir of Bolgheri, where clay, gravel, and sand meet cooling sea breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea. Each parcel is hand-harvested and vinified separately before undergoing meticulous aging for around 18 months in French oak barriques, followed by further refinement in the bottle. This cuvée tells a story of visionary rebellion, transforming a once-overlooked coastal marsh into one of the world's most prestigious wine-growing paradises.
