✨ wine.spec_sheet

Founded in 1903 by Tomás Osborne Guezala to commemorate the birth of his son, Antonio Osborne, the Solera 'AOS' is a legendary monument of Sherry history. Produced in the historic cellars of El Puerto de Santa María, this rare Amontillado is crafted from Palomino Fino grapes grown in the chalky albariza soils of Jerez Superior. It undergoes a dual aging process: first, biological aging under a veil of 'flor' yeast, followed by decades of oxidative concentration in a solera system. This creates an incredibly complex, dry wine with deep amber hues, boasting aromas of toasted hazelnuts, sea salt, old oak, and exotic spices.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1772 by English merchant Thomas Osborne Mann in El Puerto de Santa María, Spain, Grupo Osborne is one of the oldest and most prestigious wine and spirits houses in the Iberian Peninsula. While deeply rooted in the Sherry Triangle of Andalusia, Spain, the house also boasts a historic legacy in Portugal's Douro Valley and Vila Nova de Gaia, crafting exceptional Port wines alongside their legendary Sherries. Osborne's production philosophy centers on meticulous aging, utilizing the traditional dynamic solera system for their Sherries in Spain and classic lodge maturation for their Ports in Portugal. Their highly acclaimed portfolio ranges from rare, decades-old Sherries like the Venerable Pedro Ximénez 30YO and Bailén Oloroso to elegant, structured Ports including aged Tawnies, Late Bottled Vintages, and classic Rubies.
