Carlos I Solera Gran Reserva is a legendary Brandy de Jerez, crafted by the historic house of Osborne in Andalucia, Spain. Its origins trace back to 1889 when a cellar master discovered forgotten casks of grape distillate in a corner of a Jerez cellar, finding that time and the seasoned oak had transformed the liquid into a spirit of unparalleled smoothness. Distilled from select Airen grapes using traditional copper alquitaras, this brandy is aged through the dynamic Solera y Criaderas system in El Puerto de Santa Maria. The casks used are historic American oak butts previously seasoned with premium Amontillado and Oloroso sherries. This meticulous aging process imparts a deep amber hue and a complex aromatic profile of vanilla, cocoa, roasted almonds, and subtle hints of dried fruits, embodying the rich winemaking heritage of the Marco de Jerez.
