Hailing from the historic cellars of Osborne in Jerez de la Frontera, the Oloroso Rare Solera BC 200 is a monument to the art of oxidative aging. Founded in 1772 by Thomas Osborne Mann, the house of Osborne maintains this legendary solera, which was established in 1864. Crafted entirely from Palomino Fino grapes grown in the chalky white albariza soils of Andalucia, this rare Oloroso undergoes decades of slow, deliberate oxidation in American oak casks. The name 'BC 200' pays homage to historic solera designations of the 19th century. Over the generations, water slowly evaporates through the porous wood, concentrating the wine into a dark mahogany elixir of staggering complexity, boasting notes of toasted walnuts, old leather, exotic spices, and a bone-dry, endlessly persistent finish.
