The DuBrul Vineyard, nestled in the steep, south-facing slopes of the Rattlesnake Hills within Washington's Yakima Valley, is widely revered as one of the state's premier vineyard sites. Established by the Shiels family, who named the site in honor of their maternal ancestors, DuBrul is celebrated for its complex soils composed of volcanic basalt, alluvial cobblestones, and wind-blown loess. This unique geological tapestry forces the vines to struggle, resulting in small, concentrated berries with thick skins. Owen Roe's single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from this legendary site is a masterclass in structural elegance and terroir expression. Crafted with minimal intervention, small-batch fermentations, and traditional French oak aging, the wine beautifully captures the vineyard's signature profile of intense dark fruit, distinct minerality, and refined, age-worthy tannins.

Owen Roe blev grundlagt i 1999 af vinmageren David O'Reilly og Jerry McNally med en klar ambition om at skabe terroir-drevne vine i verdensklasse fra de ypperste vinmarker i Pacific Northwest. Vingården er opkaldt efter den irske 1600-tals-patriot Owen Roe O'Neill og råder over egne faciliteter samt opkøber druer på tværs af både Columbia Valley og Yakima Valley i Washington samt Willamette Valley i Oregon. Owen Roe arbejder ud fra en filosofi om minimal indgriben, hvor nænsom vinfremstilling og en velafbalanceret fadlagring bringer det unikke særpræg frem fra berømte marker som DuBrul, Red Willow og Union Gap. Huset er særligt anerkendt for sine nuancerede enkeltmarks-vine på Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah og Cabernet Franc samt populære og karakterfulde blends som Sinister Hand, Ex Umbris og Abbot's Table.
