The DuBrul Vineyard is widely regarded as one of the crown jewels of Washington State's Yakima Valley. Planted in 1992 by Hugh and Kathy Shiels on a steep, south-facing hillside, this unique site features complex soils composed of basalt, windblown loess, and ancient river gravels. Owen Roe's single-vineyard bottling from this exceptional terroir showcases the winery's commitment to minimal intervention. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo small-batch fermentation before aging in French oak barrels. The resulting wine is celebrated for its remarkable structural integrity, elegant minerality, and deep, dark fruit character, reflecting the dramatic diurnal temperature shifts and rugged soils of its origin.
