Sourced from the esteemed Lenné Vineyard in Oregon's acclaimed Yamhill-Carlton AVA, this Pinot Noir showcases the dramatic influence of one of the Willamette Valley's most challenging terroirs. Planted on steep, south-facing slopes characterized by notoriously nutrient-poor, rocky Peavine soils, the vines are forced to struggle deeply for survival. This natural restriction results in small, highly concentrated berries with thick skins. Winemaker David O'Reilly of Owen Roe coaxes the essence of this unique site through small-batch fermentations and careful French oak aging. The resulting wine is renowned for its deep complexity, balancing rich dark fruit notes of black cherry and plum with distinctive undertones of mocha, earth, and savory spice, reflecting the classic, structured style of the Yamhill-Carlton region.

Founded in 1999 by winemaker David O'Reilly and Jerry McNally, Owen Roe was established with a mission to craft world-class, terroir-driven wines from the premier vineyard sites of the Pacific Northwest. Named in honor of the 17th-century Irish patriot Owen Roe O'Neill, the winery operates estate facilities and sources fruit spanning both Washington's Columbia and Yakima Valleys and Oregon's Willamette Valley.
