Owen Roe's Rosa Mystica Cabernet Franc is a poetic expression of the Yakima Valley's unique terroir, named in honor of the 'Mystical Rose'—a nod to co-founder David O'Reilly's Irish heritage and appreciation for classical symbolism. Sourced from select high-elevation, sun-drenched vineyards in Washington State, this wine showcases the grape's signature aromatic profile, balancing savory herbal notes of tobacco and sage with vibrant red fruit and floral undertones. The winemaking team employs gentle extraction and traditional aging in French oak barrels to preserve the delicate, perfumed nose that inspired its name, resulting in a structured yet remarkably elegant Cabernet Franc that captures the essence of the Pacific Northwest.

Owen Roe blev grundlagt i 1999 af vinmageren David O'Reilly og Jerry McNally med en klar ambition om at skabe terroir-drevne vine i verdensklasse fra de ypperste vinmarker i Pacific Northwest. Vingården er opkaldt efter den irske 1600-tals-patriot Owen Roe O'Neill og råder over egne faciliteter samt opkøber druer på tværs af både Columbia Valley og Yakima Valley i Washington samt Willamette Valley i Oregon. Owen Roe arbejder ud fra en filosofi om minimal indgriben, hvor nænsom vinfremstilling og en velafbalanceret fadlagring bringer det unikke særpræg frem fra berømte marker som DuBrul, Red Willow og Union Gap. Huset er særligt anerkendt for sine nuancerede enkeltmarks-vine på Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah og Cabernet Franc samt populære og karakterfulde blends som Sinister Hand, Ex Umbris og Abbot's Table.
