As one of the historic benchmarks of the Rhône Valley, Paul Jaboulet Aîné crafts white wines that beautifully capture the diverse terroirs of this legendary region. While the estate is globally renowned for its monumental reds, their white wine portfolio showcases an equal dedication to elegance and complexity. Drawing from both the steep, granitic terraces of the Northern Rhône and the sun-drenched, stony soils of the Southern Rhône, these whites are defined by their aromatic intensity and textured mouthfeel. Under the guidance of winemaker Caroline Frey and the estate's transition to organic and biodynamic farming, the winemaking philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention. This approach coaxes out the natural freshness, stone fruit aromatics, and mineral tension inherent to classic Rhône white varieties, resulting in wines of remarkable balance and gastronomic versatility.

Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné blev grundlagt i 1834 af Antoine Jaboulet på de solbeskinnede granitskråninger i Tain-l'Hermitage og hører i dag til blandt Rhône-dalens mest legendariske vinhuse. Da Frey-familien overtog ejendommen i 2006, indledtes en markant renæssance anført af ønologen og vinmageren Caroline Frey. Hun omlagde husets vidtstrakte parceller i det nordlige Rhône til certificeret økologisk dyrkning sideløbende med kompromisløse biodynamiske metoder. Huset er verdensberømt for sine mytiske rødvine fra Hermitage, herunder ikonet La Chapelle, men Jaboulet fremtryller lige så sublime hvidvine fra topterroirs i Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Condrieu samt det sydlige Rhône. Her høstes Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier og Grenache Blanc ved optimal fænologisk modenhed fra en undergrund præget af alluviale rullesten, løss og forvitret granit. Vinifikationen sker ved hjælp af skånsom tyngdekraft, temperaturstyret gæring og velafstemt lagring på franske egetræsfade med de fine gærrester. Jaboulets hvidvine – anført af mesterværker som Chevalier de Stérimberg, Domaine de Thalabert Mule Blanche og Les Jalets Blanc – udmærker sig ved en enestående mineralitet, en cremet, voksagtig tekstur og en raffineret, lagringsværdig præcision.
