Paul Jaboulet Aîné's red wine portfolio represents the beating heart of the Rhône Valley, bridging the steep, granite terraces of the north with the sun-drenched, pebble-strewn soils of the south. At the pinnacle of their red winemaking is the legendary Syrah from the hill of Hermitage, famously associated with the 13th-century knight Gaspard de Stérimberg, who built the stone chapel that still overlooks the vines. Under the guidance of winemaker Caroline Frey, the estate has embraced organic and biodynamic viticulture, allowing the pure expression of terroir to shine through. Their Northern Rhône reds are celebrated for their deep, complex profiles of dark bramble fruit, cracked black pepper, smoked meats, and structured, age-worthy tannins, typically aged in French oak. In the south, their blends incorporate Grenache and Mourvèdre, offering a warmer, more generous profile of ripe red berries and wild garrigue herbs.

Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné blev grundlagt i 1834 af Antoine Jaboulet og er en af Rhône-dalens mest hæderkronede vingårde, beliggende på de sagnomspundne skråninger ved Tain-l'Hermitage. Siden 2006 har huset oplevet en dynamisk renæssance under Frey-familiens ledelse, hvor vinmager Caroline Frey har omlagt de legendariske terroirs til komplet økologisk og biodynamisk dyrkning. Huset er verdensberømt for sine skoledannende Rhône-vine – anført af den mytiske Hermitage 'La Chapelle' og den ikoniske 'Domaine de Thalabert' Crozes-Hermitage, suppleret af livlige Côtes du Rhône-aftapninger som den velkendte 'Parallèle 45'-serie.
