Domaine de Roure is a jewel within the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, acquired by Paul Jaboulet A"n" in 1996. Located in the northern sector of the appellation near the village of Gervans, this historic estate is defined by its dramatic, steep, south-facing granite terraces, which closely mirror the prized terroir of neighboring Hermitage. This exceptional granitic soil, combined with old Syrah vines, yields a wine of remarkable depth, structure, and mineral intensity. Vinified with meticulous care and aged in French oak barrels, this cuv"e showcases the power and elegance of northern Rh"ne Syrah, offering complex aromas of dark bramble fruit, cracked black pepper, smoked meats, and a distinct stony minerality that sets it apart from flatter, clay-dominant sites in the southern parts of the appellation.
