Domaine de Thalabert holds the proud distinction of being the oldest vineyard in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, cherished by the Jaboulet family since 1834. Located on a stony plain of the Rhône, the vineyard is covered in smooth, round pebbles (galets roulés) that capture the sun's heat by day and warm the vines by night. This distinctive terroir coaxes a profound depth from the Syrah grape, yielding a wine celebrated for its structure, dark fruit intensity, and savory complexity. Aged in French oak, it beautifully balances notes of blackberry, licorice, wild herbs, and smoked meats, standing as a benchmark for Northern Rhône Syrah.

Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet in the northern Rhône Valley, Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of France's most iconic wine estates, renowned for its historic vineyards and uncompromising quality. Now owned by the Frey family and guided by winemaker Caroline Frey, the estate has transitioned to certified organic and biodynamic viticulture across its legendary holdings, which span prestigious appellations like Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, and Cornas. The house is globally celebrated for its flagship Syrah, Hermitage "La Chapelle," alongside expressive white wines and the accessible, classic Parallèle 45 range. Through meticulous parcel-by-parcel vinification and aging in French oak, Jaboulet continues to craft elegant, terroir-driven wines that define the character of the Rhône.
