✨ Technical Specifications
The Réserve Personnelle from Paul Jaboulet Aîné is a carefully curated expression of the classic Côtes du Rhône style, representing a selection of high-quality parcels from the southern Rhône Valley. Historically, Réserve Personnelle (Personal Reserve) wines were set aside by the winemaking family for their private cellars or special guests, showcasing the best of the vintage's approachable yet structured character. This red blend is crafted primarily from Grenache and Syrah, grown on soils dominated by clay, limestone, and alluvial pebbles that absorb the daytime heat of the Mediterranean sun. The grapes are vinified traditionally with temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve the vibrant red fruit character, followed by aging in a combination of stainless steel and oak to add subtle complexity and round out the tannins. It beautifully captures the warm, spicy, and herb-scented essence of the Rhône countryside.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet, Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of the most revered estates in the Rhône Valley, situated along the storied slopes of Tain-l'Hermitage. Since 2006, the maison has entered a dynamic era under the leadership of the Frey family, with viticulturist and winemaker Caroline Frey converting the prized terroirs entirely to organic and biodynamic cultivation. The house is universally acclaimed for crafting benchmark Rhône expressions, most famously the legendary Hermitage 'La Chapelle' and the iconic 'Domaine de Thalabert' Crozes-Hermitage, alongside vibrant Côtes du Rhône cuvées like the 'Parallèle 45' range. Combining precision cellar craft with an unwavering commitment to parcel-specific biodiversity, Paul Jaboulet Aîné produces structured, age-worthy Syrahs and elegant, aromatic white wines that epitomize the grand cru heritage of the region.
