Named after the Spanish concept of 'duende'—the mysterious, soulful force of art and passion—this exquisite Pinot Noir is sourced from the historic Gold Coast Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. Planted on gentle slopes with sandy soils, the vineyard is heavily influenced by the cooling maritime breezes and persistent fog of the Pacific Ocean. Winemaker Paul Lato utilizes minimal intervention to craft a wine that captures this unique terroir, resulting in a Pinot Noir celebrated for its vibrant red fruit aromatics, elegant structure, and silky texture. The wine beautifully balances the bright acidity of the cool-climate site with the deep, emotional complexity that its name promises.
