First released in 1964, Bin 707 represents the pinnacle of Penfolds' multi-regional Cabernet Sauvignon blending philosophy, often regarded as the Cabernet counterpart to the legendary Grange. The exceptional 2018 vintage drew premium fruit from a diverse tapestry of South Australia's finest vineyards across the Barossa Valley, Padthaway, Coonawarra, and Wrattonbully. A warm, dry growing season yielded small, intensely concentrated berries with thick skins, resulting in a wine of massive structure and deep complexity. True to the house style, the 2018 vintage was matured for 18 months in 100% new American oak hogsheads, seamlessly integrating rich dark fruit characters of cassis and black plum with opulent notes of roasted coffee bean, vanilla, and subtle savory spices.
