Introduced to celebrate his legacy, this wine embodies Schubert's spirit of innovation and determination. Sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia—including renowned regions like the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale—this Shiraz is crafted in the classic Penfolds house style. It undergoes maturation in a combination of seasoned and new French and American oak hogsheads, resulting in a wine that balances rich, dark fruit flavors of plum and blackberry with subtle spice, structured tannins, and an approachable, generous character.

Penfolds blev grundlagt i 1844 af dr. Christopher Rawson Penfold og hans hustru Mary på Magill Estate i South Australia og er i dag et af Australiens ældste og mest ikoniske vinhuse. Ejendommen opnåede legendarisk international anerkendelse i 1950'erne under den visionære chefvinmager Max Schubert, som skabte Penfolds Grange og revolutionerede landets vinfremstilling. Drevet af en berømt filosofi om at blande på tværs af regioner og druesorter udvælger Penfolds enestående druer fra historiske australske terroirs – herunder Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale og Coonawarra – samt fra udvalgte internationale topområder.
