Sourced from select vineyards across South Australia's premier wine regions, this wine embodies the classic, generous house style that Penfolds is famous for. It is crafted to showcase the rich, fruit-forward character of South Australian Shiraz, balanced by careful maturation in a mix of seasoned and new French and American oak. Penfolds blev grundlagt i 1844 af dr. Christopher Rawson Penfold og hans hustru Mary på Magill Estate i South Australia og er i dag et af Australiens ældste og mest ikoniske vinhuse. Ejendommen opnåede legendarisk international anerkendelse i 1950'erne under den visionære chefvinmager Max Schubert, som skabte Penfolds Grange og revolutionerede landets vinfremstilling.
