Pereira D'Oliveira's 10-Year-Old Sweet Madeira represents a beautiful entry into the rich, historical world of traditional Madeira. Sourced from steep, volcanic terraced vineyards carved into the dramatic cliffs of the island, this wine undergoes the traditional canteiro aging process. It is matured in seasoned oak casks in the warm lofts of Funchal, where the gentle, natural heating coaxes out deep, complex flavors of molasses, dried figs, and warm spices. The D'Oliveira family, renowned for their unmatched library of ancient casks, applies the same meticulous care to this 10-year-old blend as they do to their legendary vintage Frasqueiras, resulting in a luscious, sweet style balanced by Madeira's signature vibrant, electric acidity. This high acidity prevents the sweetness from becoming cloying, creating a harmonious, warming digestif that carries the soul of the Atlantic island's maritime heritage.

Pereira D'Oliveira (i daglig tale blot D'Oliveira) er et af Madeiras mest historiske og agtede uafhængige vinhuse, grundlagt i 1850 af João Pereira D'Oliveira. Huset har til huse i det centrale Funchal i kældre, der kan dateres helt tilbage til 1619. I dag ledes det af femte og sjette generation af D'Oliveira-familien, hvor administrerende direktør Luís D'Oliveira og chefønolog Filipe D'Oliveira værner om de nedarvede traditioner. Hvor huset historisk set dyrkede sine egne vinmarker i São Martinho, opkøber man nu druer fra over hundrede faste avlere, som opdyrker de barske, stejle vulkanske terrasser rundt om på den subtropiske atlanterhavsø.
