Crafted as a contemporary Super Tuscan interpretation under the flexible Toscana IGT classification, Collezione Privata blends traditional Sangiovese with international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Fruit is sourced from selected hillside vineyards across Tuscany featuring mixed clay-limestone and galestro soils. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with traditional maceration lasting 10 to 15 days to extract balanced color and tannin, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in French and Slavonian oak casks to soften the structural grip while adding subtle spice nuances.

Established in 1882 by Angiolo Piccini with seven initial hectares in Tuscany, Piccini 1882 has evolved across five generations into one of Italy's most influential, multi-regional wine houses. Now directed by Mario Piccini alongside his family, the group commands extensive vineyard holdings across Tuscany, anchored by estates in Castellina in Chianti, Castelnuovo Berardenga (Fattoria di Valiano), Montalcino, and the Maremma. Viticulture prioritizes sustainable and organically certified management across estate parcels, situated on complex galestro, alberese, and clay-limestone soils blessed with sun-drenched diurnal shifts. In the cellar, Piccini balances contemporary precision with deep Tuscan tradition, utilizing both stainless steel and refined oak casks to accentuate Sangiovese's vibrant red cherry fruit, savory herbs, and supple tannins.
