Piccini's Chianti Riserva is a soulful tribute to the historic winemaking traditions of Tuscany, where the Sangiovese grape has reigned supreme for centuries. According to local lore, the boundaries of the Chianti region were settled in the medieval era by a horse race decided by the crow of a rooster, a testament to the deep-seated heritage of these hills. This Riserva is crafted primarily from Sangiovese, selected from choice vineyards characterized by classic clay-limestone soils. In accordance with strict DOCG regulations, the wine undergoes an extended aging process of at least 24 months, including a refined period in oak casks. This wood contact softens the grape's natural high acidity and firm tannins, weaving in warm notes of vanilla, spice, and leather alongside vibrant cherry and wild berry fruit flavors.
