✨ Technical Specifications
Piccini Chianti Riserva represents a timeless expression of Tuscan winemaking, rooted in the historic Chianti region where the Piccini family has operated since 1882. Crafted primarily from Sangiovese with traditional minor blending partners, this Riserva undergoes extended aging in wooden casks as dictated by DOCG regulation. The high-elevation hillside vineyards and sunny Mediterranean climate of Chianti yield fruit with rich acidity and vibrant cherry character, complemented by nuanced spice and fine tannins developed during barrel maturation.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1882 by Angiolo Piccini and Maria Teresa Totti in the heart of Chianti, Piccini has evolved over five generations into one of Italy's most celebrated and dynamic family-run wine enterprises. Guided today by Mario Piccini, the family balances deep-rooted Tuscan heritage with forward-thinking winemaking across an esteemed portfolio of estate vineyards. The producer is renowned for its expressive Sangiovese-driven wines, ranging from benchmark Chianti Classico and refined Brunello di Montalcino from Villa al Cortile to innovative cuvées like the pan-Italian blend Memoro and the Super Tuscan Sasso al Poggio.
