✨ Technical Specifications

The story of Piccini began in 1882 with Angiolo Piccini, who started with just seven hectares of vineyards in the heart of Chianti. Guided by the philosophy that 'it is not how much wine we make, but how much passion we put into it,' the family has championed Tuscan winemaking for over four generations. This classic Tuscan Rosso embodies that accessible, joyful spirit. Typically crafted from a blend dominated by Sangiovese—Tuscany's signature red grape—and complemented by local varieties like Ciliegiolo, the wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve its bright, primary fruit character. It offers a vibrant expression of the Tuscan terroir, characterized by sun-drenched clay soils and cooling maritime breezes, resulting in an approachable, ruby-red wine bursting with notes of fresh red cherries, wild berries, and a touch of rustic spice.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1882 by Angiolo Piccini and Maria Teresa Totti in the heart of Chianti, Piccini has evolved over five generations into one of Italy's most celebrated and dynamic family-run wine enterprises. Guided today by Mario Piccini, the family balances deep-rooted Tuscan heritage with forward-thinking winemaking across an esteemed portfolio of estate vineyards. The producer is renowned for its expressive Sangiovese-driven wines, ranging from benchmark Chianti Classico and refined Brunello di Montalcino from Villa al Cortile to innovative cuvées like the pan-Italian blend Memoro and the Super Tuscan Sasso al Poggio.
