✨ wine.spec_sheet

Piccini's 'Solco' pays homage to the ancient agricultural traditions of Tuscany, where the 'solco'—the deep furrow carved into the clay soils by a horse-drawn plow—symbolizes the foundational bond between human labor and the earth. This cuvée is crafted using a partial appassimento method, a technique where a portion of the grapes (primarily Sangiovese) are left to wither and concentrate on the vine before harvest. This process, reminiscent of the historic Tuscan 'governo' method, coaxes out rich, concentrated flavors of dark cherry, plum, and sweet spice. The result is a velvety, full-bodied red that captures the warmth of the Tuscan sun and the historic ingenuity of its winemakers, offering a luscious alternative to the region's traditionally high-acid, bone-dry styles.
