✨ Technical Specifications

Pol Roger's Extra Dry Champagne is a beautiful nod to the historical preferences of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when Champagnes with a slightly higher dosage were favored by high society. Crafted with the same meticulous care as the house's famed Brut Réserve, this cuvée is a harmonious blend of equal parts Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay sourced from 30 different crus. After undergoing secondary fermentation in the exceptionally cool, deep chalk cellars of Épernay—descending thirty meters below ground—the wine is aged for at least three years. The defining characteristic of the Extra Dry style is its dosage, carefully calibrated to yield a rounder, softer profile that balances vibrant acidity with a subtle, off-dry sweetness, offering notes of stone fruits, white flowers, and warm brioche.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1849 by Pol Roger, this venerable Champagne house is situated along the celebrated Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, France. Remaining proudly independent and family-owned across generations of the Pol-Roger and de Billy families, the maison maintains a steadfast commitment to traditional methods, including extensive aging in cool, deep chalk cellars and manual riddling. Pol Roger is internationally celebrated for producing structured, refined Champagnes defined by balance and elegance, ranging from its quintessential non-vintage Brut Réserve to the prestigious, Pinot Noir-dominant Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill.
